8:25 am Back to North Carolina

Merry ChristmasWell, Andrew left this morning at a little past 6 am. There is a chance for snow today and we hope that Andrew stays ahead of it!

I am not so sure that he was excited about going back, nor were we excited about him going back. But we all knew that this day was coming.

Time to get back to normal around here. Today we are going to take all of the Christmas trees down. As well as the rest of the Christmas decorations.

It is time to start the new year. We would like to wish you and yours all of the very best for 2008!

Thanks for spending time with our family during Andrew’s homecoming. We certainly enjoyed sharing it with you.

Bob

How wonderful for you and your family to have gotten this time to be with your son during the holidays. Please know my prayers go out everyday for all of our men and women in Iraq. My son-in-law is due home for his visit in February. We are all so proud of him for his bravery, loyalty, honor, and countless other truly wonderful things that combine to make him a very special person. He has been in a long time and had the option for Christmas time. But, as my daughter and him have no children they decided together that he would forego his turn in hopes that someone with children could get to go home and be with them. We did get to all have a lovely visit via IM and we got to at least see him and speak with him and we truly treasured that.
Blessings to you and yours:)
